Give the people what they want

The users of the service know what they want better than any of our guesses.

Start by asking the users what they would use if it were available, why they suggestedd that and what need it would fill. By reading between the lines you would get a better idea of the different needs of the various populations. People in Redlands Bay may not necessarily get the same value out of a healthcare initiative that those in the suburbs surrounding Logan would greatly benefit from.

This data would also provide a valuable snapshot for contrasting against in 6 months, 12 months, 24 months to be able to chart progress against any of the specific goals that are developed as an outcome of the analysis.

Why the contribution is important

Providing the users to get on the ground level of their health care initiatives will create champions of change. Those with more invested in the outcome are motivated internally rather than by confidence in external parties.

This is also a way celebrating the diversity that exists within the Metro South area. Telling our community that they have a voice and that they are an important part of their own care will develop positive relationships with their health care providers.

    What if you surveyed and compared the experiences of the 2% of patients with the fastest discharge to the 2% of patients with the slowest discharge?.... Specially comparing aspects of their non-clinical pathway like their transportation, scheduling experiences, return to community, in-home care etc.
