End pyjama paralysis

Get patients out of pyjamas now -as an interim solution.

Why the contribution is important

Staying in hospital is unsafe for them and PJ’s can perpetuate a sick role. Getting dressed  encourages them to move however possible

This program has well documented evidence of success in the UK

Thank you

I know if I was sick, being comfortable in my own clothes would improve my mental wellbeing :)

I've often wondered why people wear pjs when in hospital. I agree that wearing PJs = bed. I would be too embarrassed to walk around in my PJs! Maybe some people think they have to wear PJs in hospital and don't bring other clothes?

The program Bernie is referring to is evidence-based and pick off the shelf. It demonstrates that getting patients out of their hospital gown earlier results in a shorter length of stay as well as many other benefits.

"A recent pilot gave patients back 91,728 days or 250 years’ worth of time across nine trusts in the East of England as result of getting patients up and dressed. " - https://www.england.nhs.uk/[…]/
